European coastal action plan for strengthening the knowledge base of sustainable coastal and marine management (ENCORA)

ENCORA, European Network on Coastal Research is an EU-wide networking programme and has initiated the European Action Plan, which provides a reference base for future coastal and marine research investments in Europe. It addresses critical knowledge gaps that presently hamper the sustainable management of European coastal zones. The Action Plan aims at focusing research plans in order to facilitate research cooperation and take full benefit of the European potential of knowledge and experience.
