Opening tentoonstelling 'The Archaeological Heritage of Croatia' in Brussel

Vlaanderen en Kroatië werken al 15 jaar samen op economisch, sociaal en cultureel vlak. De tentoonstelling in Brussel kadert binnen deze samenwerking.

Vlaanderen en Kroatië werken al 15 jaar samen op economisch, sociaal en cultureel vlak. De tentoonstelling in Brussel kadert binnen deze samenwerking.

Start Europese tour "The Archaeological Heritage of Croatia" in Brussel De heer Boris Grigić, Ambassadeur van de Republiek Kroatië voor het Koninkrijk België en de heer Kris Peeters, Minister-president van de Vlaamse Regering, openen op donderdag 16 juni de tentoonstelling "The Archeological Heritage of Croatia" in het Boudewijngebouw in Brussel.

De tentoonstelling - een onderdeel van een uitgebreide expositie van het Archeologisch Museum in Zagreb - is samengesteld door Sanjin Mihalić. Op grote banners (120 x 200 cm) worden afbeeldingen van monumenten en archeologisch sites samengebracht waardoor een thematische wandeling langsheen het Kroatische erfgoed mogelijk wordt. De bescherming maar ook de toeristische ontsluiting van dit rijke erfgoed, is van groot belang voor Kroatië. De expositie zal na deze eerste halte in Brussel, beginnen aan een rondreis door Europa.

Vlaams - Kroatische samenwerking Reeds 15 jaar werken Vlaanderen en Kroatië samen op veel en zeer verscheiden terreinen. Zo focust het economisch en regionaal beleid zich ondermeer op de KMO's: het stimuleren van ondernemerschap, de ondersteuning en begeleiding van start- en groei-KMO's, - Ook op het vlak van land- en tuinbouw, havenbeheer, onderwijs, cultuur en bescherming van monumenten wordt voortdurend onderzocht op welke manier samenwerking kan worden tot stand gebracht. De tentoonstelling in Brussel past in deze samenwerking en toont het belang dat Vlaanderen en Kroatië hechten aan hun onderlinge band.

De tentoonstelling is te bezichtigen tot en met 8 juli 2011 in het Boudewijngebouw, Boudewijnlaan 30, 1000 Brussel. De toegang is vrij.

Opening of "The Archaeological Heritage of Croatia" exhibition in Brussels The Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, Mr. Peeters, and the Croatian Ambassador, Mr. Grigić, will be opening the exhibition on "The Archaeological Heritage of Croatia" in Brussels on 16 June. The exhibition in Brussels is the result of the economic, social and cultural cooperation which Flanders and Croatia have committed themselves to for 15 years now.

The European tour of "the Archaeological Heritage of Croatia" starts in Brussels Mr. Boris Grigić, Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia in Belgium and Mr. Kris Peeters, Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, will be opening the exhibition on "The Archaeological Heritage of Croatia" in the Brussels Boudewijn building on Thursday 16 June.

The exhibition, which is part of a large exposition of the Archaeological Museum in Zagreb, has been mounted by Sanjin Mihalić. Pictures of monuments and archaeological sites have been assembled on large banners (120 x 200 cm), allowing a thematic walk along the showpieces of Croatian heritage. Not only the preservation of this vast heritage, but also its accessibility to tourists is of key importance for Croatia. The exhibition will be touring through Europe after this first stop in Brussels.

Flemish-Croatian cooperation Flanders and Croatia have been working together in various and very distinct fields for 15 years. Cooperation in the field of economic and regional policies has among other things focussed on SMEs, the encouragement of entrepreneurship, support and assistance to starting and growing SMEs, ...In other fields too, such as agriculture and horticulture, port management, education, culture and the preservation of monuments possible ways of cooperation are being examined. The exhibition in Brussels fits into this cooperation and is proof of the importance which Flanders and Croatia attach to their mutual relationship.

The exhibition can be visited until 8 July 2011 in the Boudewijn Building, Boudewijnlaan 30, 1000 Brussels. Admission is free.
