IBM opent Cloud Competence Centre in het Duitse Ehningen
Ehningen, Duitsland, 15 juli 2010 - IBM opent vandaag een Cloud Competence Centre in het Duitse Ehningen. In het grootste datacenter van IBM in Europa, kunnen nationale en internationale bedrijven terecht voor de nieuwste mogelijkheden op het gebied van cloud computing.
In maart 2008 opende IBM haar eerste Europese Cloud Computing Center gericht op innovatie en cloud onderzoeksactiviteiten in Dublin. IBM voorspelt dat de markt voor cloud computing met ongeveer 28 procent per jaar zal groeien van 47 miljard dollar tot 126 miljard dollar in de periode 2008-2012.

* IBM Smart Business Development and Test on the IBM Cloud - Deze dienst maakt het voor klanten mogelijk om interne diensten uit te bereiden en nieuwe diensten te testen door directe toegang met IBM's veilige, schaalbare cloud delivery model, software en image lifecycle management mogelijkheden.

IBM Expands Cloud Computing Capabilities with new Cloud Competence Centre in Ehningen, Germany New Facility Delivers Commercial Development and Test and Desktop Cloud Environments
Ehningen, Germany, July 15, 2010 - IBM (NYSE:IBM) today announced a new IBM Cloud Computing Competence Centre in Ehningen, Germany, which will provide a broad range of cloud solutions and services to clients locally and internationally. Located in Ehningen, Germany, home to IBM's largest data centre in Europe, the new facility will host a range of technology platforms and optimised service delivery processes, enabling its clients to harness the immense potential offered by cloud computing.

IBM is working with a range of business partners across cloud management, security, software development and testing support. As a result, IBM can offer clients flexibility, scalability, enterprise-grade security and control for development and test on the IBM Cloud. By co-operating with Novell for example, IBM has SUSE Linux enterprise components available and can offer its enterprise customers a full range of Novell capabilities for smart development and workload testing services.
In March 2008, IBM opened its first European Cloud Computing Centre in Dublin, Ireland focussing on client innovation and cloud research activities.
