Outstanding results for SNR Schouten Global in 2008

Zaltbommel,The Netherlands: March 28,2009: SNR Schouten Global,the holding of training and education companies Schouten? Group, SNR Schouten Participations and Schouten Training, achieved 2008 sales of Euro 76.7 million, an increase of 9.4%. Adjusted for divested business a 13.8% growth was achieved.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) increased by 35% to Euro 8.1 million. Net income was Euro 5.4 million, virtually unchanged from 2007, a year with specific tax benefits. EBIT was driven by both considerable sales growth and extraordinary returns from real estate. Investments in international activities, higher marketing expenditures and reorganization costs impacted profit.

Jan Schouten, Chairman of SNR Schouten Global called the results excellent. He said in a comment: "We are well positioned to realize the progress we have outlined in our long term plan. Our training, coaching and educational activities in various countries are seen by customers as state of the art solutions to bridge the hard times. Existing and new customers, hurting from recession,bring us in for behavioral training at various levels, coaching and a variety of educational services. Also our licensing of soft skills training programs receive much attention. Outside the Netherlands we now have operations in Belgium, Poland, Germany and mainland China where we have offices in Beijing. In all places we work with satisfied individuals and institutional customers who continue to do business with us. For 2009 we continue to focus on excellent quality, constant innovation and the exportation of our soft skills training programs and know-how to international markets".

SNR Schouten Global served 6780 institutional clients in 2008. A total of 20.650 participants were enrolled in open training programs and educational courses. Some 3280 in-house company projects were ongoing, including coaching. At the end of 2008 SNR Schouten Global employed 512 fte's and worked with 854 freelance trainers and instructors.
