Woensdag 27 juni geeft de Amerikaanse zanger Meat Loaf een concert in de Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. De voorverkoop voor dit concert, dat deel uitmaakt van de Bat Out of Hell III Seize the Night tour" begint aanstaande zaterdag om 10.00 uur.

Met het album 'Bat Out of Hell' breekt Meat Loaf in 1977 wereldwijd door. Dit album, waarop ondermeer de hits 'You Took the Words Right out of my Mouth' en 'Paradise by the Dashboard Light' staan, is met meer dan 30 miljoen exemplaren een van de bestverkopende albums ooit. Ook het tweede 'Bat Out of Hell' album 'Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell' is in 1993 een enorm succes en levert met 'I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)' opnieuw een nummer 1 hit op. Ook ontvangt Meat Loaf een Grammy Award voor Best Rock Vocal voor dit nummer.

Eind vorig jaar verscheen het derde 'Bat Out of Hell' album 'Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose'. Op dit album, dat wederom de top 10 haalde, staat de meest recent hit 'It's All Coming Back to Me Now'. Dit nummer is een duet met de Noorse zangeres Marion Raven die ook tijdens het concert in Amsterdam aanwezig is.

Meat Loaf's recente concert in de Royal Albert Hall in England verkocht in slechts enkele minuten uit en kreeg zeer lovende kritieken.
