STAAT DER NEDERLANDEN VERKOOPT 8% VAN BELANG IN KONINKLIJKE KPN NV ("KPN")

Den Haag, 22 september 2006

De Staat der Nederlanden, vertegenwoordigd door het Ministerie van Financiën, deelt mede dat hij een verkoop van ongeveer 87 miljoen gewone aandelen in KPN op basis van een zogenaamde accelerated bookbuilt offering is overeengekomen met Goldman Sachs en Citigroup als Joint Lead Managers en Bookrunners. Tevens is de Staat met KPN overeengekomen dat KPN 80 miljoen gewone aandelen inkoopt.

Gezamenlijk vertegenwoordigen beide transacties ongeveer 8% van het uitstaande aandelenkapitaal van KPN. Met de transacties heeft de Staat der Nederlanden zijn gehele resterende belang in KPN verkocht.
