Middenin de periode 9-11 december 2005 wordt de Internationale Dag van de Mensenrechten
gehouden. Mede naar aanleiding hiervan organiseert de Stichting voor Ontwikkeling van
Vietnam (SOV), samen met haar internationale zusterorganisaties, een conferentie over:
'Vrede, Armoedebestrijding en Mensenrechteneducatie'
Locatie voor de Opening: Internationaal Perscentrum 'Nieuwspoort' Den Haag
Zaal en adres: Wandelganger 2, Lange Poten 10, Den Haag
Datum en Tijd: 9 december 2005, van 15.00 tot 18.00 uur, zaal open: 14.00 uur Graag willen
wij u uitnodigen om de opening van dit congres bij te wonen op bovenstaand adres. Wij
zouden het zeer op prijs stellen indien u kunt komen. Enkele vooraanstaande sprekers
zullen hier een korte toespraak houden, waarbij er gelegenheid is tot het stellen van
vragen.
Verwachte sprekers: 1. Dr. Tjon-A-Ten (Tweede Kamerlid PvdA)
2. Mr. Drs. H. van Baalen (Tweede Kamerlid VVD)
3. Dr. E. Latham (specialist op het gebied van mensenrechten)
4. Prof. Tran Khue (Woordvoerder van de Beweging voor de Verenigde Democratie in Vietnam)
5. De heer Bui Tin (ex-kolonel van het Vietnamese volksleger en ex-vice
hoofdredacteur van het tijdschrift 'het Volk' van de communistische regering)
6. Prof. Nguyen Quoc Khai (Hopkins Universiteit, Washington; vice
voorzitter netwerk voor mensenrechten in Vietnam)
Deelnemers aan de discussie zijn de volgende personen, die ook sprekers zijn op de overige

In the middle of the period December 9-11 the International Day of the Human Rights is
held. For the International Foundation for the Development of Vietnam and her
international sister organizations, this is one of the reasons to organize a conference
on:
'Peace, Fighting Poverty and Human Rights Education'
