22-Year Goodrich Veteran Appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, August 8/PRNewswire/ --
Today the Board of Directors of Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) elected Scott Kuechle
as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer reporting to Marshall Larsen,
Chairman, President and CEO, effective Aug. 9, 2005. Kuechle succeeds Rick Schmidt, who
has accepted a new position as Chief Financial Officer of Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.
Kuechle has served as Vice President and Controller since 2004. He started his 22-year
career at Goodrich as a Financial Analyst and held several subsequent management positions
of increasing responsibility in Finance and Accounting. In 1994, he was promoted to
Director of Finance and Banking and became Vice President and Treasurer in 1998.
Kuechle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Science in Industrial Administration from
Carnegie-Mellon University.
According to Larsen, 'Rick, with Scott as part of his core team, was a key architect
in enterprise-wide strategies, the results of which are evident in several
accomplishments such as our deleveraging efforts and our robust internal controls
processes. We appreciate Rick's significant contributions to the growth of our aerospace
business during his 11-year career and we wish him well in his new endeavor. As Rick's
successor, Scott's 22 years of accomplishments in a variety of finance and accounting
