'DREMPELS BUITENLANDS TALENT VERMINDEREN'
Het Innovatieplatform constateert dat Nederland nog niet aantrekkelijk genoeg is voor werknemers en studenten uit het buitenland. Daardoor komt de innovatie van de Nederlandse economie onvoldoende van de grond.
De belangrijkste adviezen van het platform zijn:
- Nederland moet de ambitie hebben om aantrekkelijk te zijn voor kenniswerkers en studenten uit het buitenland (de Europese Unie en daarbuiten).
- Er moeten één loket, één procedure en één vergunning komen voor 'internationale kennismigranten'.
... En misschien is het een idee om alle kennismigranten en hun eventuele partners de mogelijkheid te bieden van een eendaagse crash course die deze hoogopgeleide arbeidskrachten een introductie geeft over de Nederlandse taal en cultuur, de arbeidsmarkt en de belangrijkste migratiewetgeving, onze sollicitatie mores en natuurlijk de Hollandse keuken! De workshop is bedoeld als introductie, maar kan er zeker toe bijdragen dat mensen sneller succesvol aan de slag kunnen op de Nederlandse arbeidsmarkt.

This one-day workshop is designed to give you a head start into Dutch society. It is aimed at people who want to make the best of their period in the Netherlands and who want to get to grips with the Dutch quickly. Two specialist organisations, ITHA and Expertise in Labour Mobility, have joined forces and have designed a one-day course that tells you all you need to know to survive your first months in the Netherlands. You will get an introduction to the Dutch language, to practical need-to-know information, to the job market, to Dutch 'cuisine' and to Dutch culture.
