Versatel Signs a Long-term IP VPN Contract with Achmea
Amsterdam, 27 June 2001 - Versatel Telecom International N.V. today
announced that the company has signed a long-term contract with Achmea for
the provision of a combination of voice, data and Internet services over
Versatel's broadband fiber optic network. Versatel will connect 32 customer
sites with their local networks (LAN's) to the Achmea WAN (Wide Area
Network) with an IP-based Virtual Private Network (VPN). Versatel is one of
the first companies in the Netherlands that can offer IP VPN services based
on Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS).

Amsterdam, 27 juni 2001 - Versatel Telecom International N.V. heeft vandaag
bekend gemaakt dat zij een meerjarig samenwerkingscontract heeft getekend
met Achmea voor de levering van een combinatie van spraak, data en Internet
diensten gebruikmakend van Versatel's breedbandige glasvezelnetwerk.
Versatel zal door middel van een op IP-gebaseerd Virtual Private Network
(VPN) 32 klantlocaties virtueel met hun lokale netwerken (LAN's) koppelen
tot het Achmea WAN (Wide Area Network). Versatel is een van de eerste
bedrijven in Nederland die in staat is om dergelijke IP VPN diensten aan te
bieden op basis van Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS).
