Visit to the water project in Cobadin

Dear Mr Mayor,
Distinguished guests,
My visit to this water purification plant in Cobadin is one of the most interesting elements during my visit here to Romania.
I am very pleased to see that Partners for Water, a programme implemented by the Ministry of Transport is able to offer such good solutions.
I am impressed with what I see. This project is a fine example of innovative and sustainable Dutch technology being utilised to achieve spectacular improvements in water quality. It is even possible to recycle wastewater for the irrigation of farmland.
During my visit to this wonderful country, it becomes clear to me that your country works hard to bring the water infrastructure of the countryside up to standard. It is rewarding to see that Partners for Water can assist in these efforts.
It is obvious that the co-operation between Romania and the Netherlands is bearing fruit. And I know that people from the Dutch water sector are anxious to continue this co-operation. They are ready to find innovative water solutions, together with Romanian partners; solutions like the one in Cobadin.
I sincerely hope that it will stimulate all those involved to join forces even more frequently in future.
